Pink Dragons are primarily herbivores and only eat meat during the mating season, when mates will exchange kills. When it is not breeding season, pink dragons spend most of their time incubating eggs and caring for their clan’s young. Due to their feminine color, it was traditionally thought that pink dragons were a strictly female breed, but this is not true.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

General Youk is a now retired General of an old army of pinks that at one point in the history of Dragon Cave had ruled both the abandoned page and the front lines of the cave. Their numbers were too great, their uselessness too strong to be a prime target of dragon keepers. Over time, the light-red dragons of the cave had such a strong influence over the other dragons that the eggs of all types were susceptible to the will of the pinks. General Youk was a once proud and reliable dragon that watched over hordes of frozen pink recruits, but now, he uses his new found powers of willing an egg to choose a specific gender as his mark of power within the Kes Clan.
