Mistlet Pygmies thrive in humid environments and are most content when frolicking in the rain or fog. The cheerful demeanor they exhibit provides a remarkable contrast to their shadowy appearance, bringing joy in otherwise gloomy environments. Mistlets are an especially beautiful sight in long summer evenings, as their streak of vibrant scales catch the fading sunlight. They spend a great deal of their time foraging for edible roots and insects, and sometimes enjoy treats in the form of small fish or frogs.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Pygmy dragons are the smallest category of dragons, being on the same scale as domesticated animals. They are often found around concentrated populations of dragons, relying on their larger brethren to ward away potential predators and leave scraps. As such, the majority of a pygmy’s diet is scavenged. Due to their tiny size, pygmies do not breed with larger varieties of dragons.

User Description

Darkness's one job is to serve. He judges, never swayed, always impartial, until the day he met Shade that is. Her eyes filled with despair, her body slumped with defeat.  His heart jolted, feeling for the first time. His job of judging forgotten he embraced her and turned senselessly to the ones who had done this to her. Instead of finding the vicious dragons he expected, he saw dragons just as scared as her. Confused he led her away from the clan that had branded her heart, and showed her light. Yet he continued to judge, but no longer could he remain impartial. He could only see their pain. He returned to Starfrost in shame; he had let an evil dragon leave because of his new, naive heart. Starfrost assured he was not at fault, but when he saw the life that the dragon had taken he sobbed. How could he have let such an evil dragon go. But then she was there to comfort him. She embraced the pain in his heart as he had embraced hers. Together, they would prevail.
