Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It has bright blue eyes, and is as clumsy as any other hatchling, but it never seems to get injured.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Winter is a young, female dragon that takes pride in her wonderful healing abilities. While still very young, she has astounding herbal knowledge and knows how to handle most wounds. Her mother, Snow, was originally the main healer for their tribe of dragons, but she died in a blizzard before she could pass on all of her abilities to her daughter. Winter promised herself that she would became as great a shaman as her mother was.
