Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. Naleohano's parents named her believing that names had power in them; her name means the voices of authority. Naleohano comes from a line of leaders of the dragon army sworn to protect the race of dragons. Her parents taught her all that had been passed down upon many generations, making her name well-fitted to her.

In ancient time when humans initiated a war to declare themselves the dominant species in this world, the dragon army was summoned to protect the race of dragons that were being threatened. As general, she led her army with bravery; fighting alongside with equally skilled warrior dragons until hundreds of years later. The humans finally ceased fire and existed with dragons. Drained from battle, she cast a spell upon herself that put her into a deep sleep in order to recover her strength.
