Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It loves to chase butterflies.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

When it first hatched, Sevra found itself in the care of a powerful mage known as "Raimben the Mad". Raimben was infamous for performing experiments on living beings. Sevra survived through all of these inhumane tests and, in fact, actually thrived upon them. Through this overdose of exposure to magical energies, Sevra began to display unusual abilities such as telekinesis and heightened intelligence. The hatchling could even teleport itself short distances with ease. Raimben froze the hatchling at a very young age to prevent it from becoming too dangerous.

Sevra has always had an insatiable thirst for knowledge. After tearing through every tome and scroll in Raimben's possession, it became bored. It wanted to know more about its own kind: about dragons. Having read about scroll keepers who found and raised dragons in caves (either found or carved by their own hands), Sevra decided that it too would become a scroll keeper. In fact, Sevra appears to be the owner of this scroll.
