Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It sleeps a lot, but when it’s awake, it’s quite a handful.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

"Fluffy" Ellen is a cute little Pillow Dragon who long ago found the secret to eternal youth -- at a price. Though no one knows what methods she used to remain a young hatchling forever, older dragons whisper that it came at a terrible cost, laying upon her the curse of "Tabula Rasa": Emptiness. Indeed, poor Ellen will always remain a child in both body and mind, as she forgets any experiences or knowledge that would make her mature.

Despite this sad fate, Ellen is one of the most cheerful dragons to be found. She enjoys prancing around outside between naps, chasing after butterflies and examining wildflowers. One of her quirks is that she will never eat a furry animal; they're too "cute" to be touched. Instead, she will often lure them into her cave in an attempt to keep them as pets. Hence the nickname, Fluffy Ellen.
