The Elux Lucis are a nocturnal breed of dragon found in the far north and at the peaks of particularly tall mountain ranges. During the day, their deep indigo scales easily conceal them among the trees, but at night, their remarkable iridescence is revealed; even the faintest starlight reflects off of their bodies in a dazzling display of colors. In flight, they almost resemble living auroras soaring across the night sky. During the winter, flocks of Elux Lucis fly south to hatch and raise their young. This annual migration is well known for filling the night sky with a display of reflected moonlight and starlight so vibrant it seems as though the northern lights themselves have wandered south.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Indigobright, unlike most of her Elux Lucis clan living at the peak of Aurax's Eye, loves the wintertime best of all. During winter, travel between the Cities of Snow and Cloud is easiest as thick clouds hide the cities atop the mountains of the continent. Some snowy nights, Indigobright can even fly low enough to skim the treetops of the lowland forests, her shimmering iridescence obscured by dark, wet clouds.

It's a gray time of year, but Indigobright loves feeling the branches and firs against her claws, loves to drape herself like a garland atop the trees and take in the warm, sweet air of the lands below. She's lived in the city of Aurax's Eye for all her life, but she likes to imagine what it would be like to live below the clouds.

Ah, well. Silly dreams. She is content in her life, and has recently begun seeing a strange silver dragon who calls himself Prince Twinkle, of all things, while she is out on her winter flights. He's a bit silly, but he loves the winter as much as she.
