Welcome to Dragon Cave! Dragon Cave is an online adoptables game. Collect eggs, raise them to adulthood, and then breed them to create interesting lineages. New dragons are added regularly!
Balloon Dragons are so named because they are filled with a gas that makes them almost lighter than air, similar to balloons. However, they are not prone to bursting, as they are covered in tough skin and can deflate themselves if necessary. In addition, they generally are slow moving. They use their gas bladders to float to the tops of trees, where food is more abundant. They can shift their weight from their backs to their fronts, allowing them to reach leaves and fruit.
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
In the Mountains of Elgar many dragons live in peace with one another, almost everyone raised by either one of the two human guardians (Ember Nuria or Flight). A group of dragons, however, separated from their peaceful "kin" with the intent to rule the lands of Elgar. Known as the High Family, they gathered under them chosen dragons, the Posluga (translating as: the servants), and the two Orders took to living on Oulerun, one of the largest mountains in Elgar. A strained peace filled the Mountains of Elgar, but no act of war came from Oulerun. It was during this time that Tyche was found and raised to be one of the Posluga. Always one for arbitrary violence, she takes pleasure in causing unnecessary chaos. She has a habit of spouting prophetic lines that are more often ominous than beneficial in nature. Her siblings in the Posluga believe she only foretells dark events on purpose (much to their irritation). Tyche is the representation of Fate in the Posluga.
