Nocturne Dragons are a strange breed. Whenever light strikes their bodies, they are frozen in whatever position they were in. This leaves them vulnerable and they rely on camouflage to keep themselves safe. They are often mistaken for statues when in this frozen state, but Nocturne dragons do not actually turn into stone. Rather, they merely idle until the sun goes down. At night, these dragons come to life, proving themselves to be powerful fliers, although little else is known about their true behavior.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Statue is... well, a rather strange dragon, to say the least. Not only is she a nocturne dragon, which severely limits her from her hours in the sunlight, but she also does a complete personality flip during the different stages of the day. During daylight hours, she's short of temper and quick to quietly growl at anyone who comes near her, often scaring curious hatchlings away. She also gets rather fed up with their stupid questions, what with them always asking her if she's a stone dragon or not. She's quite quick to remind them that she most certainly is not.

During the night, however, a completely different dragon seems to awaken inside Statue. She turns into a kind and patient mentor, flying through the skies with her clanmates on their late-night patrols not matter what the weather. She does, however, tend to forget that the daylight is her mortal enemy, often freezing into awkward positions come sunrise.
