Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

During his early years Twilight was picked on because of his small size; even as a mature hatchling he was about the size of a newborn.  What no one saw coming was how big he'd be as adult, he grew to be a large, strong, popular black dragon.  He towered over some of his now smaller peers and was one of the biggest of his age group.  None of them ever mocked him again when they saw how effortlessly he could destroy a tree.  Despite his new strength and size, Twilight never abused it, in fact some considered him "a big softie".  He was very tough yet had the most gentle touch, especially with hatchlings.  Whenever he saw a hatchling picked on Twilight would help the young one along and help show others that there is more to a dragon than just being big or strong.  Today, everyone loves Twilight, or "the big softie".
