Frostbite Dragons first appear at the beginning of winter, creeping in with the frosts. They have found their place in human lore as the spirits of snow, since they only reveal themselves during icy weather. In the depths of winter, they cover the world in blankets of snow and are believed to be responsible for the glittering frost that creeps over everything. Although they appear cold and distant, they are actually rather mischievous and enjoy spending time dancing through blizzards.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Winter's Cry is a very solitary and grieving dragon. No one knows why she's like this, and probably no one will ever find out. She howls similar to a wolf at night, making the ground freeze into ice around her feet and spread the longer she howls. At morning, she sits in a dark cave and picks at her icicles grown on her wings, tail, and frontback legs. Whenever she is near anyone, she gives anyone shivers up their spine or makes them have a cold. Winter's Cry is very gentle though, she only snarls if another dragon threatens her or tries to battle her. She mostly drinks just water and sometimes eats icicles for food.
