Magi Dragons are, as their name suggests, primarily magic users. They rarely use physical forms of attack. They eat anything they can kill, which is almost everything. They won’t kill unprovoked except when hunting, although they may kill humans if in danger. Their strong magic makes them one of the most feared breeds of dragons.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Taika belongs to "kaia-chan's scroll", which it proves by her epithet "Dragon Magical Star". Due to her talented magic skills, she was given the name "Taika", which is the Finnish word for "magic" or "spell".

Taking use of her powers, she usually uses them only to play harmless tricks on others or to make a magic show for her fellow companions during their meals. She is a cheerful and easy-going dragon. Usually she spends her time with other dragons and is rarely alone. However, she hates injustice. If she sees that stronger dragons pick on a weaker one, her friendly personality changes into a frightful dragon who does know no mercy and pardon.

Although she could eat everything, she is very picky and only eats the freshest fruit or meat. Therefore, she knows places where the most delicious fruit or the cleanest water can be found.
