Vampire Dragons are members of the undead. They sustain themselves by drinking the blood of others. It is said that they are only “alive” at night, and seem dead or asleep during the day, as they cannot endure sunlight for long periods of time. Vampire Dragons can only reproduce by changing the eggs of other dragons, puncturing the shell with their fangs and injecting venom that kills the baby inside.
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
User Description
Hilu was the first Vampire to be accepted into Rezca's family, and was slow to earn the trust of the others due to her species' reputation. However, Hilu had made some friends with several other hatchlings during her youth and would join them in their games when she was awake. As she grew older it became apparent that she could no longer satisfy her hunger simply hunting small mammals outside her home and had to resort to feeding on other dragons, including her friends. She took take great care not to do any harm to her friends while eating, and always licked the bite clean to prevent infection. One night however, one of Rezca's Pink Dragons caught her drinking the blood of another dragon. Hilu begged him not to say anything to the others, fearing she would be chased out of the nest if they found out. The pink dragon agreed and nothing more was said about the matter. Since then, Hilu has been much more careful when picking her meals.
