Feisty and energetic, Whiptail Dragons pride themselves on their speed and agility. It is not unusual to see several whiptails racing each other. Though fragile, they can easily evade attacks with their superior speed, and often use their long tails as a weapon, giving rise to their name.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Friendly Yobin is often the target of accusations from other whiptails. The whiptails that Yobin race with are from the plains, and they are used to racing solely with their legs. Yobin, however, is from the desert, and is used to using her wings while racing to jump over small obstacles and canyons. Yobin sometimes unconsciously uses her wings to speed himself up in races, angering the other whiptails, as that action is forbidden in their style of racing. Also, Yobin is used to racing for fun, while the others race in all seriousness. Because of these differences, Yobin has been given the cold shoulder by the other whiptails, making her very insecure and sad. Unfortunately, Yobin cannot go back to her homeland, the desert, because of a recent racing injury.
