Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It is clearly a water animal.

And look! Its fins have grown larger! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Destroyer of Worlds, or just Dess, is a small two-finned bluna with a giant ego. He is very proud of himself and overconfident in his own abilities. Much of his day is spent heckling other more skilled dragons. Despite his almost pitiful lack of strength, he has convinced himself that he could fight an army of Guardians of Nature and win. Many other dragons have grown used to his extreme claims, and simply choose to ignore them. He also tells stories to some of the very young hatchlings that consist of his adventures, even though most are just lies. The stories do keep the youngsters preoccupied, which takes stress off the older dragons, so he isn't a complete annoyance. Dess' original name was Bip, but he changed his name to fit his view of himself. Most dragons hoped he would grow out of this phase, but he was prevented from aging due to an accidental spell from Narex. Regardless, he seems happy enough, and even if most dragons don't admit it he is an important part of the cave.
