Sunset Dragons are closely related to sunrise dragons. However, their behaviors differ greatly. Sunset Dragons generally live alone or in small packs. They are more active in the evening, hunting and performing all of their daily tasks as the sun sets.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Downsun is a very lazy dragon. He is generally only awake for three hours every day, from roughly seven in the evening on the sundial to ten. However, during this period, he is rather hyper. He is known to bring back his share of food for the day in a fourth of the time it takes the other dragons, and he occasionally helps his owner gather wood for the fire or repair the roof. The rest of the day, he sleeps soundly, and not a single thing can wake him up. His fellow dragons have tested this. Apparently, being buried in must and dirt will only cause him to roll over in mild discomfort.
