Magma Dragons are capable of withstanding the intense temperatures of their element. They live in volcanic regions, their bodies coated in the red hot magma which clings to their scales. They must leave the lava fields in order to hunt, although they require surprisingly little food to sustain their lumbering mass.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Gramagmararr is a Magma dragon. His egg was discovered when his owner was accidentally teleported into a volcano by Fierozasion the Magi dragon. She grabbed hold of what appeared to be a rock, discovered it was an egg and would have met an untimely end in the bubbling magma had Fierozasion not reversed his mistake. She escaped with burnt fingers and a coating of soot. And a new dragon to add to her family. But when the egg hatched it was obvious that the hatchling was unhappy with it's surroundings. He would attempt to climb into fires or into the giant oven kept for roasting meat for the dragons who are picky about their food. Understanding what the little one needed, the owner and several of the other dragons tunnelled into their mountain cavern home until it got unbearably hot. But with the help of the Winter dragons, who kept the temperature cool until construction was over, a new cave was built for the Magma dragon, now a reclusive but kind dragon named Gramagmararr.
