Nebula Dragons are nocturnal creatures. With the best eyesight to be found, they are often seen staring into space. Each dragon tends to observe a particular nebula and will eventually change their colors and patterns to match it. As the nebula changes over time, the dragon changes with it. The more intricate the design of the nebula, the better chance an individual has of attracting a mate. It is said that the markings on no two Nebula Dragons will be exactly the same.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Aries is not the leader of the entire clan-- rather, he is only the leader of the Nebula dragons. Not that he claims to be any more than this. But his subjects highly disagree, claiming that it's an "outrage" to be led by a Tsunami dragon, of all things (surprisingly enough, they never say this to the clan leader's face). Aries has tried to calm them down, explaining in his mild manner that he doesn't even WANT to lead anyone else, but this has so far fallen on deaf ears. So he simply sighs and lets them go on grumbling.

Being a solitary dragon, Aries has not yet found a mate. There have been many females who have shown an interest in him, but he never quite feels the same way. So for now, he only makes an appearance in clan meetings, quietly retiring to a nearby field after any social gathering.
