When Water Dragons mature, they lose the ability to survive on land, entering the water permanently. They are adept swimmers and eat whatever fish are in the lake they live in. They tend to inhabit the same lake for their entire lives, although a few live in the ocean and swim all over the world.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Swany loves the water above all other things. She feels great between the waves, and she thinks that their energy represents the life. She obviously is a nimbly swimmer and she uses her skill to scout the lake's bottom searching ancient ruins and artefacts. Sometimes she speaks about her finding with her friend Kiki who's expert in human's knowledge. One of this time she noted a fine winged shadow on the water' surface near them. The agile silhouette followed her when she returns to the central zone of the lake, so Swany got hooked on this game. She started to swim very quickly, challenging it, but the shadow equalled her at all times. When finally she met her playmate she fell in love with the nice cloud-dancer.
