Holiday dragons are a very mysterious breed. They are only seen during winter, and even then it is hard to catch a glimpse of one. They are responsible for the general cheer that spreads during the holidays. In essence, they are the “Spirits of Winter.”

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Merry Cuffsmas is a very sneaky, deceitful dragon. She often steals red dragon eggs from wherever she can find them, and gets a few rolls of golden ribbon from Maerenith, a very decorative dragon. Then, Cuffsmas starts a search for holly leaves. Once she collects plenty, she will wrap red eggs in one golden ribbon and stick a holly leaf onto the egg, and finally roll them out next to the pile of abandoned eggs.

She chuckles and laughs as many dragon owners scramble to grab the 'Holly' eggs, sometimes even starting a fight for one. She laughs even harder when she sees the look on the owner's faces when their beautiful Christmas egg hatches into a common red dragon.
