Gemshard Dragons are small, gregarious, expressive easterns, living in large clans high in the jungle canopy. Their bodies are covered in tiny, gem-like scales that shimmer in direct light, and each dragon has a unique pattern of markings on the forked spade of its tail. Though Gemshard Easterns cannot fly, they often leap from springy branches high into the sky on sunny days and perform acrobatic spins and twirls to entertain themselves. When the weather turns foul, they pile up together on sturdy tree limbs and interlock the forks of their tails with others to keep warm and dry.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Amazon cares more about his personal appearance than anything else. Day in and day out, he will meticulously groom his scales to ensure they look as smooth and shiny as possible. In fact, he has ironed them down to such a degree, that, when light strikes him directly, he shines like a second sun. He can blind a whole room during a summer day. He is able to look at his own reflection in his scales. Impressive vanity aside, Amazon is a genuinely sociable, outgoing dragon. Though he may not be the most attentive (he's always so focused on his scales that he doesn't listen to a word anyone is saying), he is approachable and will engage in idle chatter. He's not the type of vain that breeds arrogance, he simply enjoys looking his best. As stated, Amazon, though friendly, is neither attentive nor engaging. It's nigh impossible to carry a straight conversation with him while he's grooming. He'll just nod and hum in response, not actually listening but acting polite enough to pretend to.
