Seasonal Dragons take on the characteristics of the season during which they are born. Thus, eggs that are laid in spring match the pink flowers and green buds of spring, and those that are laid in the summer grow to depict the bright green of the forest trees and the yellow of the sun. Eggs laid in autumn display the bright colors of leaves falling from trees, and those that are laid during winter take on the appearance of the icy snow.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

This dragon loves absolutely everything about Halloween! The costumes, the candy, the pumpkins, the candy, the scarecrows, the candy--all of it. Oh, except for the zombie dragons, those are scary. It was while running away at full force from one such ambling corpse (which may or may not have really just been a geode dragon wearing a costume) that he first smacked into Oak Heart, a massive gold dragon known for being as kind to good people as she was menacing to evil ones. Clambering atop the gold dragon and sobbing for her protection (which she solemnly promised to give), the two spent the rest of the holiday together... and then the day after... and then the years after, the two falling deeply in love, Hallow's cheerful foolishness complimenting the gold's graceful nobility perfectly. The two now have a child on the way, and are much looking forward to raising a family (and educating them about candy).
