Green Dragons are also sometimes called “earth” dragons. They usually live deep within caves, and have power over the earth. They are capable of launching boulders at high speeds, and can cause earthquakes by slamming down onto the ground.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Esmeraude has taken on the job of being Guardian of the Cave, a task she does not take lightly. While the work is also split between Goliath and Truffles, she still knows the risks and responsibilities that come with the job. If a human-or anything else- were to find their main home, it would be her job to use her powers to close off the entrance. Once that was done, they would have to wait until the threat had passed before she could create a new exit at the rear of the cave. Even though she takes her job seriously, she is a bit of a vain dragon, and greatly enjoys getting jewels and glass items from Agiros.
