When Water Dragons mature, they lose the ability to survive on land, entering the water permanently. They are adept swimmers and eat whatever fish are in the lake they live in. They tend to inhabit the same lake for their entire lives, although a few live in the ocean and swim all over the world.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Tsar Blueriven is the King of his own loch. Loch Siobhan is located at the northern most part of the estate where Blueriven grew up. Like any good king he longs for a male heir. His first affair was with a Dark Green Dragon named Isabeath. Isabeath was a young dragon looking for her own place on the estate. While stopping by the edge of the loch for a drink Blueriven enticed her. Violent by nature, Isabeath left him in great pain. This pain only compounded by the fact their union produced a female child. His first born lost in the dragon trade and desperate for a male child he set his sights on Goldfyrea, a Magi dragon. Again, his union produced a single female offspring. This time the egg was kept on the estate, hatched, and sent into Loch Siobhan with Blueriven. Fearing he may never have a male heir, Blueriven became obsessed with his daughters tutelage. Azure is his little Tsarina and light of his life. His focus these days are on finding her a suitable mate and having a Grandson.
