It was previously believed that purple dragons were exclusively female, but this is not the case. Recent environmental shifts have revealed the existence of both genders of this breed. Female behavior is well known; they are primarily herbivores but will eat meat during mating season. On the other hand, very little is known about the behavior and habits of male purple dragons.

SeioBeautyCiel is a special Purple Dragon, she can sort of talk in human speech. While most dragons talk with humans telepathically, and make growls and hisses audibly. But SeioBeautyCiel, who still can talk psychically, can also make noises that sort of mimic the sounds of some human words. Enough so that humans who speak that language can understand her, mostly. Just simple things: Yes, No, Food, There, and Stop; but they certainly get the point across to most humans near her cave.
