Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It has long toes, and likes to wander around on lily pads.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

BoldWaterWalker is a Water Walker Dragon hatchling who loves an adventure. One or twice a year, he'll think of some outlandish thing to do, like following a river all the way from the headwaters to the sea or searching for gold (often easily found in the purses of nobles). A whole noisy group of hatchlings and even some adults will always follow him to strange new places, the air full of growls and squeaks and the mental "air waves" full of too many happy conversations going on at once.
