Deep Sea Dragons, as their name suggests, spend most of their time in the darkest depths of the sea. They have a bioluminescent dorsal spine that serves to attract prey and communicate with their own kind. As with many deep sea animals, they generally eat whatever they can manage to bait. They rarely leave the ocean floor, surfacing only during breeding season. When they do choose to travel to the shallower depths, they avoid bright lights and will only come up far away from shore.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Gentle Nemo's name does not describe her personality. Perhaps Deep named her out of a perverse irony or a naive hope that she would change. Either way, Gentle is an aggressive creature prone to violence when angered, which is often. As a hatchling Gentle often threw tantrums that resulted in many broken objects, and as she grew those objects only grew more valuable. Eventually Deep might've been forced to release her, but then, during one tantrum, Gentle unintentionally broke her arm in several places. Gentle was remorseful, and eventually conceded to trying to control her temper better. She tends to stay deep beneath the waves, emerging only when she grows bored of the dark, lonely depths- which is more often than most deep sea dragons, at least. She and Desert Horizons have been enemies since hatching; were it not for Desert's superior agility Gentle would've eaten him long ago, no matter what Deep might say.
