Sunset Dragons are closely related to sunrise dragons. However, their behaviors differ greatly. Sunset Dragons generally live alone or in small packs. They are more active in the evening, hunting and performing all of their daily tasks as the sun sets.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

As one of the older females among her egg-mates, Lunaeia has taken it upon herself to ensure that her "family" is safe from the elements when the sun sets. As a Sunset Dragon, she stays true to her kind as she has a rather busy nightlife; whether it be hunting or spending some time for her own. A bit rough around the edges, she truly does care for her "family" and keeper, however she conveys this in different ways. The action itself is comfort enough for her egg-mates.

At times, she's at wits end with Azrael, seeing as both of them are rather stubborn, but both of them actually get along really well.
