Serrati Wyverns are a fierce breed of dragon typically found in volcanic areas or in desert scrubland. With their keen vision, these fearsome predators can pick out well-camouflauged prey from the slightest movement. They are named for the double rows of serrated teeth that line their beaks, which allow these wyverns to maintain an unbreakable grip on prey while they tear into their target with deadly hooked claws. Though these dragons are combative with nearly everything, they are surprisingly well-mannered when raising their offspring in communal nests. Males, however, tend to be chased off as soon as eggs are laid.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Attatrin was the first fully grown dragon to inhabit this cave. He was swiftly swiped from the abandoned egg and hatchling area as a juvenile and was already the oldest of the cave. Attatrin found himself surrounded by smaller surrogate siblings, hatchlings, and eggs. Safe to say, he was in over his head as the sole dragon protector of his cave's inhabitants. Luckily, the other dragons soon grew up and Attatrin became the leader of a new group of dragons, one that accepted those from all walks of life.
