Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Valentine is a bit of an imposter. It's more of a compulsive thing. She just can't help it. She occasionally tries to impersonate other breeds, but obviously that doesn't go well. She travels the land mostly alone. She has another compulsive part of her personality. She cannot help but to help others. Doesn't matter what the need is she, disguised as someone else, is there to aid. Some consider her a superhero, due to the changing of personas wherever she goes. They just assume that is an anonymity thing, not daring to think it's a compulsion. She doesn't mind it too much, though she can feel helpless sometimes.
