Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It glows with some form of arcane energy.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

This hatchling was forced out of its egg prematurely.

Dragonhaven Island holds many secrets, not all of them pleasant. Kyambra and her companions were rescued by Myrnekal from one such hidden place, a vast graveyard of smashed eggs where nothing grew. As with Xayos, the normal powers of her breed have been greatly enhanced by some unknown power. Once Xayos has used her powers of persuasion on an individual, she teleports them to the location where their help is needed. Kyambra is the most talkative of the three, but manages to evade all questions about her past or who enchanted her. All she's revealed is that the trio are known as the Children of Sorrow, though she won't explain why.
