Green Dragons are also sometimes called “earth” dragons. They usually live deep within caves, and have power over the earth. They are capable of launching boulders at high speeds, and can cause earthquakes by slamming down onto the ground.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. Barbecue Boy earned his name from his strong taste for barbecue. This was first observed when he was a hatchling; he climbed up onto his owner's grill and stole an entire leg of barbecue chicken. He spent the next month or so with bandaged feet from the hot grill; still, he had gotten a taste of barbecued meats, and wanted more. In order to prevent him from burning his feet again, his owner made barbecue specifically for him, and as his appetite grew, she taught him how to make it for himself. When farmers see a large green dragon dousing their cattle in barbecue sauce before flying off with them, they know they have seen Barbecue Boy.
