Dorsal Dragons are so named because they have large fins along their backs that can be raised and lowered at will. They use these fins to regulate body temperature; they raise them to cool off when they become overheated. The bright colors on the fins double as a means of attracting mates.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

The Dragon given the title of "Ancient Flow" lived it's life near a small brook near a certain village, in a certain country, just as it's parents had, and it's grandparents. The people of the village grew up with Flow, and Flow's family protected the Village. Ancient Flow was given her title one day when the village came under attack buy a large, Green Dragon, easily twice her size. In that fight she discovered a unique gift, by controlling and sensing the movement of air that passed over her fins, she was easily able to dodge and defend against any attacks the much larger Dragon could throw at her, as well as attack with ease when a opening appeared. Flow's new gift soon gave rise to the martial arts the village is now famous for, the "Heavy Flow" style, which deals with anticipating the enemies movements and delivering heavy attacks using the body's natural movements, "flow", and breath.
