Magi Dragons are, as their name suggests, primarily magic users. They rarely use physical forms of attack. They eat anything they can kill, which is almost everything. They won’t kill unprovoked except when hunting, although they may kill humans if in danger. Their strong magic makes them one of the most feared breeds of dragons.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Basilisk's egg was larger than average. It was accidentally knocked into a spring of natural mana in the chaos organization Fury's hatchery before he hatched. From a very young age he learned to convert the natural mana from the spring into a form of sustenance. Due to this constant nourishment, Basilisk is the fattest Magi dragon in existence. He is very lazy and rarely moves, though even if he did want to leave, he would never be able to fit through the entryway to the cave. He is very powerful, but by no means more so than his species. He is skilled in transformation magic and loves to use it to curse intruders to the Fury organization headquarters. He is quite sadistic and is generally unfriendly, but he is willfully subordinate to Fury's leaders. He has worked up an alliance with Count Vulkan of the Bloodbound clan of vampire dragons and enhances the blood that Vulkan brings to him, generally improving Vulkan's physical state but driving him into madness.
