Moonstone Dragons are named after the orb on their tails, which resembles the gem of the same name. They are nocturnal and gather energy through the absorption of moonlight with their orbs. They seem to glow with a lunar light and are a very gentle breed, feeding off of plants and the moons’ power.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

When StraVir found a luminescent egg in the pile of abandoned eggs near the dragon caves, she thought that maybe, someone had made a mistake and dropped it on accident, but when no one contested her for it, she took it. When it hatched she was surprised at how tiny the hatchling was but as it grew she named it Benevon and was even more surprised when he grew into a beautiful male. Benevon is kind hearted and from the moment he hatched, had his eyes and heart on a small Spotted Greenwing that was named Nocturen, he wanted to be with her despite her shyness around him. When they tried to mate the first time, it didn't work. But he is determined to have an egg with her, and will not cease his devotion to her even if nothing comes of their pairing.
