Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Squire Blicebox the Pink is another caveborn Pink that his owner adopted from the cave. (She seems to be stalking it to find interesting dragon codes.) Like the two Pinks before him, he gendered male, which put her in a bit of a sour temper. She froze him, not needing another adult male in her scroll.

She named him Blicebox because of his code, given to him at birth by the Master of Everything. It was B1Bz, and reminded her of a troll that prowled around her favorite hang-out places. He was Blue Icebox, but everyone called him BIB. So, she named her hatchling Blicebox.

Blicebox actually seems to resemble his namesake's temper. He is a surly little thing, and likes to sulk. He has the tendency to stick his nose into things, and bother the other adult dragons, including Sir Phent the Pink. Blicebox wishes he wasn't frozen so that he could become a knight and "help" people, but secretly his master thinks that she was very right in freezing him. The cave did not need a "knight" like him.
