Gold dragons are the ones most often killed by humans, who consider their scales to be extremely valuable. These golden scales grant them a high level of protection, similar to armor, and they use this to their advantage in battle.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. Ultrius, which means "Champion Fighter" in Xaivian Draconna toungue, was borne to Gold and Black dragons, who were dragons of great strength and beauty. When this egg was borne, it was offered as a trade for a different dragon of the Shadow Walker species. Once the egg was in my possesion, it was raised with love and affection as the first Golden Guardian. He is the first in a hopefully long and powerful lineage of Golden Dragons, and will always remain as thus. He is a powerful and beautiful dragon that is somewhat fiesty and arrogant. Though he is sometimes rude, he can be an amazing dragon at times (such as during the Tooth and Claw Fighting Tournament that is weekly hosted between his friends, like Sapphire Star and Silvet Sterling). He is mated to Shadow's Repentance. Ultrius is a borne guardian.
