Geode Dragons are closely related to Stone dragons. They are covered in a hard stone-like material as well as beautiful crystal. Their wings are entirely useless for flight, but they help attract mates. The dragons with the most brilliant and colorful crystals are more likely to mate.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Adacus is a second generation dragon, first generation Geode. Although abandoned as an egg, since birth he as been ever knowledgeable of his direct descendence to the heads of his lineage, Limestone Cavern (father) and Hidden Agate (mother), who were both Stone Dragons. Second born of the two, his only older sibling is also a stone dragon, making him the first Geode Dragon in his family. All of these factors have given him an immovable sense of pride, though not to the point of arrogance. A young orphan, he most enjoys either challenging other dragons (especially those that fly since he himself cannot) in the honor of his lineage or searching for his older brother, whom he sees as his only worthy rival. Otherwise, he is pleasant and fun loving but most at peace when left with his own thoughts. Being the oldest, he naturally assumes a patriarchal position over the younger dragons in his new "family", teaching them in the ways of honor and glory.
