Storm Dragons are the masters of the skies. They are excellent fliers and land only to rest and eat. In addition, they have full control of the weather. They are very hot-tempered and easily angered. They will attack any human that bothers them, conjuring strong winds and dangerous lightning.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Azeryx is descended from several generations of Thunder and Gray mated pairs, but his true heritage comes from a daughter of the Wilds known only as the Weaver of Storms. Finding this title appropriate for both sides of his breeding, Azeryx took upon himself the surname Stormweaver.

Azeryx appreciates diversity within a certain theme, probably because of his family. Something of a philanderer, Azeryx intends to gather a harem of females and weave a line of storm dragons with himself at its head. His first two mates, Noyida and Ghihe, were singled out and rescued from the Wilds. Azeryx quickly developed a strong mutual devotion to both of them.

At one point, Azeryx courted the attentions of Syphora V'sii, but her sire--V'sii himself--did not approve of Azeryx's style of mating, and Syphora was too much her father's daughter to be won by Azeryx's charm.
