Vampire Dragons are members of the undead. They sustain themselves by drinking the blood of others. It is said that they are only “alive” at night, and seem dead or asleep during the day, as they cannot endure sunlight for long periods of time. Vampire Dragons can only reproduce by changing the eggs of other dragons, puncturing the shell with their fangs and injecting venom that kills the baby inside.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Kyrthanos is a real 'piece of work'... one of those types that knows better, but acts on impulse anyway. He has an extremely over-active sense of humor and it's doubted he's even capable of taking anything seriously. How he managed to earn a heraldic title is beyond anyone's understanding.

He tends to follow others around whenever he's awake and able to, however he doesn't care for drama and will simply wander off to follow someone else if he thinks anyone's trying to drag him into it. After getting over his lame humor and shock tactics most come to trust and tolerate him as he refuses to spread secrets and aside from occasionally rough-housing for fun he isn't a particularly violent dragon... however he will neither hesitate nor regret to kill when hungry.

Oddly enough despite his irritating demeanor he seems to get along fine with Luclin, a rather cranky white dragon he shares a home with. As long as he keeps his mouth shut.
