Venturis Dragons are a peaceful breed that reside in cooler regions toward the bases of mountains where they can raise their young without the threat of predators drawing too close. They are known for their ability to sense distress, and use telepathy—coupled with a strong sense of empathy—to solve disputes. It is commonly believed that interacting with a Venturis dragon will bring a future of good fortune. They are also known as Heralds of Tranquility in olden lore. Despite their seemingly elusive nature, Venturis Dragons have often been spotted near villages torn apart by war and destruction.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

He's the calm, relaxed type, super laid back and practically radiating serenity. Hopeful is the kind of dragon who prefers to ease stress, not add to it. He always acts as though he's in control. Even when everything has spiraled into utter chaos, he knows exactly what to say and do to get a hold of the situation. He solves problems with relative ease, working on both a logical and emotional level to solve whatever issue he's faced with, calm down those afflicted, and prevent future incidents. This skill and genuine likeability makes him quite popular among all sorts of species, be they dragon, human, drake, or anything else. There's only one problem: Hopeful is nearly impossible to find. He only seems to appear out of the blue when he is least expected. Whether this is purposeful is unknown, since he claims he likes to travel and often just gets lost while wandering. Whatever the case, those meeting him are encouraged to make the most of his visits, since once he leaves, he leaves.
