Magma Dragons are capable of withstanding the intense temperatures of their element. They live in volcanic regions, their bodies coated in the red hot magma which clings to their scales. They must leave the lava fields in order to hunt, although they require surprisingly little food to sustain their lumbering mass.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Not originally a part of the "Ancient Strikers", Royal Magma was in fact, part of one of their enemies. Seeing that her clan's doom was imminent, Royal fled, all but alone as Telchima mere feet behind. Telchima flew into her attempting to bite into her neck. After a severe burn lined down his back, Telchima was in disbelief that he had failed to kill a enemy. Royal, knowing that if her clan was still alive, would attack her for treason. Convinced that she could prove useful to the clan she asked if she could join. Telchima, after much consideration, agreed, but always keeping a close eye on her. After many years the two became mates, despite Telchima's sadistic behavior and Royal's nasty attitude.
