Magi Dragons are, as their name suggests, primarily magic users. They rarely use physical forms of attack. They eat anything they can kill, which is almost everything. They won’t kill unprovoked except when hunting, although they may kill humans if in danger. Their strong magic makes them one of the most feared breeds of dragons.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Ahuo sees visions on the wind—visions that can strike at any time and without warning whenever there is the slightest breath of air, leaving Ahuo oblivious to the outside world.  Though most visions only last a few seconds, during the longer ones Ursegarm frequently has to stop Ahuo from colliding with walls, trees, and other dragons, but never seems to tire of playing bodyguard.  Ahuo also has the ability to appear to be off in her own little world when she's actually paying full attention to her surroundings, and uses this ability to disconcert other dragons (though she's never managed to fool Ursegarm).  Ursegarm and Ahuo often partner up to get a confession out of magi trainees who have been up to no good—between Ursegarm's stern demeanor and Ahuo's visions (faked for the occasion), the two make a formidable team.
