Nebula Dragons are nocturnal creatures. With the best eyesight to be found, they are often seen staring into space. Each dragon tends to observe a particular nebula and will eventually change their colors and patterns to match it. As the nebula changes over time, the dragon changes with it. The more intricate the design of the nebula, the better chance an individual has of attracting a mate. It is said that the markings on no two Nebula Dragons will be exactly the same.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Gamea's egg was taken by Queenie as a human was returning from the Cave -- the human wasn't even Queenie's old scroll keeper, either! The dragoness just found Gamea's egg pleasing and took it for herself! Now Gamea is one of Queenie's loyal scouts, using her spectacular eyesight to see enemies approaching from leagues away. Gamea has been approached on multiple occasions by Queenie's scroll keeper in hopes of turning her to the human's side, but the young Nebula dragon is too far under Queenie's spell. She believes and hopes with all her might that one day, with Queenie's help, she'll be able to reach the stars and hold them in her own talons. Hopefully Gamea will come to her senses someday, but for now she is Queenie's starry-eyed pawn.
