Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It sleeps a lot during the day and dislikes bright lights.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

The son of a troubled sire and conflicted mother, this young dragon never cared much for family life. Preferring the siren call of the wilds over the snarls of his parents, he spends much of his time roaming the slopes of his mountainous home, always on the lookout for something new. It was in this way that he came to discover a very special cave, with a very special inhabitant: Calling Pigeons, another two headed hatchling. The two have since become very close, Ragathos quite enjoying helping her with her pigeon races.
