Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Tina seemed to adopt her father's battle prowess, but her mother's caring attitude. Being a black dragon, she is very capable as a warrior with many offensive spells, but she has also learned as much healing magic as her black dragon heritage would allow. Naturally, she is the center of attention to many dragons for various reasons. Be it her looks, power, authority, family ties, or her versatility in combat, Tina often outshines her parents when it comes to having support from individual dragons. She is often seen playing with her baby sister Maya, helping Gloria with social problems, or keeping her brother Lumino out of trouble. As the ruler's firstborn, she takes over should something happen to her parents, but that is very unlikely due to the "black trio" (as the citizens call them) of Jet, Eclipse, and Tina who are the best warriors on the island.
