Few dragons embody serenity and potential quite as perfectly as Avatars of Creation. They dedicate their abilities to the arts of healing and growing, and their shimmering scales seem to glow in accordance with their mood. The tendrils of an Avatar of Creation grow slowly throughout its life, and the longer the tendrils grow, the more potent its abilities become.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

As a son of the mighty Guardian... and a creature of considerable power, himself, Alfwin is noted for the belief that he must use his powers to ensure the growth and prosperity of the natural world. He is assisted in this by two females, who some say are his mates others say his sisters, who accompany him. Enduring and countering the never-ending hatred of the avatars of destruction, he does all he can to oppose their aims and this often means doing as he would do anyway...bringing peace, healing and growth to the land. It is said that whenever he graces an area with his presence, new growth and renewal occurs. Among the dragons of the Java Tiger, he is viewed with both fear and awe for his powers and often sought out for help. He appears seldom on the lands of the clan, but it is widely believed by the dragons that if he or one of his sunsong followers should appear, it is a grand omen indeed, portending some important event and the Court should be informed.
