Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It has a number of fleshy growths on its head and back.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Chii-su lives in the Copper Orphanage and was hatched from an abandoned egg by Meroda. She loves to climb the large chestnut tree that grows a little way from the entrance to the cave. In the fall the other hatchlings have to hurry fast to get even one chestnut to eat because of how fast she devours them. She is generally well loved and because of her warm and soft scales she is one of the best cuddlers in the orphanage.
