Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Emil was found when the owner was trailing down the volcano of Aodh, a still active volcano with various faunas unable to be found in other places. The egg was cold, and the owner deduced that it had been abandoned due to its unusual hue of green that emanated from it. The owner initially intended to raise him for a brief period of time until the dragon could fend itself, but took a liking to his unusual appearance for a black dragon and brought him back to Dragomir. He was only a fledgling then, but took a liking to Bellatrix, Alvar's mate, and even now many rumors circulate between them, causing Alvar to have fits of jealousy and occasionally mortally wound Emil until Kanerudo steps in. Emil is an outsider to all the dragons and acts however he feels like (often flirting with dragons of all kind), making the owner and Kanerudo disconsolate.
