Dorsal Dragons are so named because they have large fins along their backs that can be raised and lowered at will. They use these fins to regulate body temperature; they raise them to cool off when they become overheated. The bright colors on the fins double as a means of attracting mates.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Forkliiiiift is a friendly and very 'oblivious' dragon. He has a very small attention span, and though he tries to concentrate, he just can't help but start a train of thought that takes a while to stop. Other times, if he's ignored for too long, he spaces out and it often takes others yelling at him to get him to notice, being too focused on whatever. Forkliiiiift, strangely, has never been bothered by his oddball name- though some like to joke that he just hasn't noticed it yet. He's a rather jumpy dragon when he's not spacing out, some would say bordering on hyperactive, but he just takes it in stride and doesn't care. Prone to spacing out while awake, and impossible to wake up while asleep, he's been known to sleep with Greeni screeching down his ears. Not much bothers him, though the previously mentioned jokers say that maybe, he just isn't aware of it.
